Thanksgiving, so what are you doing?

Mrs. Easto and I are expecting about 18 guests +2 infants and 2 dogs (I don't like it that they bring their dogs but I lost that fight a long time ago). Fortunately, everyone is bringing a dish so the overall chaos at the house (at least the kitchen) should be minimal. I've just finished hosing down the driveway and backyard, set the tables, dusted, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning and I'm down to the kitchen floor and I'm done. For the record, I'm not really looking forward to it. I married into this big family and I guess I just have to realize this is part of the commitment. But... I've found that a few vodka rocks nursed throughout the day really helps take the edge off.

Going to my sister-in-law this year, we've had them over for Thanksgiving last couple of years and now they invited us.. Will just eat, drink and relax for a change, usually I'd be stuffing a turkey in the morning

Yeah, I should be thankful. Last year my wife's sister hosted it and all we had to do was bring a plate of something and it was all fine from there. I had the wife drive so I was able to get a nice buzz and still get home safely.

    ML up from Florida
    My parents are coming over
    Son coming to dinner
    Daughter still lives at home

After about 25 years of doing various home made wet-brine for the turkey, I felt like going old school roasting this year....so, yeah, doing that.

Happy Thanksgiving Philip....one day we'll be more north east FL and try to catch ya. So far we're mostly mid to south west coast FL 3-4 times a year. Be down there again after Christmas.
