How Much Can You Trust Local News?

It seems that often local news is not really local.

Ya the Sinclair stuff is interesting, and not really surprising.

Our "leaders" work hard to controlled the information going to the public. They are scared of a free press and informed people.

Maybe, or maybe the Sinclaire group just wants to look good to Trump and his people to get their purchase in place so they can be more of a monopoly.

Maybe but if we are spinning maybes, then it is a bit odd that Ajit Pai, Chairman of the FCC, appointed by Trump, pushed to get rules changed last April which expands the number of stations television broadcasters are allowed to own, then a few weeks after that Sinclair announced their plans to buy Tribune Media. . . . A savvy business that pays attention to changes in the FCC? Coincidence? Or maybe a quid pro quo? Lots to consider, and we'll probably never really know the truth, but at the very least we should approach these changes to local news with suspicion and caution.
