Facebook Notification Problem

On my PC, when I go to Facebook, Firefox, I get a red number over the notifications button to tell me I have new notifications. But when I click that, and the list of notifications opens, it no longer shows new ones. The top one (and most recent) is from Mar 24th. Yet I have gotten several yesterday and today. Any idea how to fix this?

Try clearing FF history:
Menu > History > Clear recent history > Everything > checkmark all except site preferences
