How do i recover my Norton product key ?

I lost my Norton product key CD. So please help me how do I recover my product key what kind of steps I should follow..

When you install a Norton product it usually creates a file on your computer that houses your key. This has been my experience when receiving the install via download and may not be the case when installing from a media source. The best solution would be to contact Symantec and inquire about this. I have generally purchased a program online after using the trial and the product key was e-mailed to me and placed in an obscure location for retrieval if needed, after installing.
