    What up suckpump?

Insanely busy at work here! Had a pretty steady year so far but the months of Nov and Dec alone are about 6 months work of sales/work. Crazy ending to the year!

    Um, I manage retail.

Holiday season, end-of-year $400,000 inventory with a new crew, 1 employee last day today and 2? more on their way out, from a total of 11.

    Does that count?

Lefty, how are the hatches released? Electrical? Pneumatic? Hamster?

Thanksgiving was great, felt like a stuffed turkey It was very busy too, we had family visiting from Europe for a couple of weeks (my cousin with his wife/kids), so I spent time with them, took them to Disney, etc.

Hydraulic I believe. We have to have a safety watch because they are considered man killers.

I just finished another semester. This semester I learned to code in R, more math, a little physics, but the highlight this semester was learning how to do mixed model statistical analyses.

R is based off S. S is an older statistical programming language designed by Bell Laboratories in the mid 70's. R is much newer than S and also made for statistical computing and data mining. Since it is open source it is spreading much faster than other statistical languages. Turns out free is a good selling point and by being open source it is constantly growing in capabilities. I also had to learn the basics of SAS, but not to the same extent as R.

R is not hard to learn, it is mainly for data scientists, not programmers. I would think anyone with a background in programming could probably pick it up fast. It can do some really cool graphs and has several packages to extent those capabilities. It is also great for data manipulation and handling large data sets.
