    They're tracking me...Oh Noes

    I'm bored..

Looked at my Google Location History.
    Fun thing to play with..
Just missing Alaska and Hawaii and can't get there from here...Well Alaska yes technically. But we don't do Canada.

I can picture someone in a nice office looking at this trying to figure out what does it all mean

Next time you make it to Jacksonville FL let's get a brew.

Oh, and yes, location tracking can be used in scary ways to make all kinds of assumptions about you. Fore example, I was reading somewhere about a company crunching such big data and using it to gauge your credit worthiness by little behavioral quirks, for example:
"If you pay for gas inside gas stations instead of at the pump, you are more likely to smoke, and less likely to pay your bills on time".

I can only imagine what kind of red flags would go off if you have a lunch on a weekday at a strip club, lol. Hmm, maybe I should try and do some research, scientifically gauge the correlation between my lunch habits and FICO score...

I can see for someone with a more normal job it might be different

Will let you know next time I'm through Jacksonville.
We really don't go to Florida very often.

    I'll keep that in mind.
    But to be honest.
    Maine is worse than Florida.

Been driving for like 8 years or so now.. I have been to Maine only once.

A few years prior to buying my current house I realized the banks could profile my spending habits. I use cash only to buy things like alcohol or at a casino etc.. I was going thru my profile yesterday and saw $400 spent on pharmacy and health category. I realized it was a computer monitor purchase from shoppers drugmart lol.
In the end I think the banks look at your debt service ratio and credit score for borrowing money but I wouldn't doubt they look at your profile as a tool to increase your credit card limits etc

I was going to post a link to that thread, but the SG search results for "bullsh|t" were too numerous

sometimes you have to think outside the box to get inside the box .

Sure... wink wink. Like I don't see you three times a week at the 'Pink Pagoda'.
People will forget what you said... and people will forget what you did... but people will never forget how you made them feel.

*(ignoring MadDoc on purpose for the moment...)

They may not use that info to determine your credit currently, but it is slowly moving in that direction. They will use it to show you relevant ads and decide on your shopping habits though.

Speaking of artificial intelligence and machine learning... I just spend the day updating the in-house AI with more jokes and other stuff... Talk to Eva in the chat room, see how you like her (Just click on the SG Chat button, top right by the SG Logo). She can learn from conversations and will remember many things about you.. Ask her to tell you a joke, an interesting fact, or even what season it is

Hey Bala, Keep me in mind if you get down around Tampa! I would use extreme caution meeting up with P in Jax though!
