    TCPOptimizer on Dial-Up Don'ts.

Have dial-up with never ending waits. Tried TCPOptimizer 3.0.8.0 and think its helped. Now I have downloaded the manual, I wish to know is there anything that the manual says to do that I DON'T do because I am on dial-up ? or does this broad band tweaking software work on dial-up just as well?
    Thanks

Most of the settings apply to dial-up as well. The one that may have visible effect, and you should probably try setting different than the TCP Optimizer "optimal" settings is the "TCP Auto Tuning".

You will never need a TCP Window buffer larger than 64KB, so you can try setting this to "disabled", or "highlyrestricted". Check with the TCP Analyzer before and after you set the TCP Auto Tuning to disabled. You may also try some speed test, but I doubt it will detect the subtle difference under normal conditions.

Steep learning curve but fun. I will try a few things I read in the weekend as well after the advice. Thanks
