Damn. I'm going to miss that guy. Larry seemed to almost always post something funny or informative. Whatever it was he was always kind and positive as far as I could remember.

    Larry,

The measure of a man is what is said about him when he is gone. You brought class and humor and you made Speedguide a better place, a better home away from home. You were a true friend to many here, myself included. Your voice, your humor will be missed, but it will not be forgotten.

    Respectfully,
    Tom

Well heck. The other side of "life on this rock" is so much richer by his sudden arrival.

For whatever reason I was just thinking about him last week and came here to see what he was up to.

Wrong place... wrong time but... nice to see you my friend.

The sudden passing of someone such as minir is shocking. I can understand my wife telling me she wants me to quit drinking... or my PTSD causing me to freak out in the store in such a way that my kids react by calling 911.. but the passing of such a keepsake as minir to SG is humbling. He is missed.

    on travel but greatly hurt.

My heart bleeds for Larry and his friends and family. He tought me a bit of humility which is not easy over the interweb. As a Mainer sharing a border I have always felt a closer relationship with him. REST IN PEACE MY BROTHER. I would have enjoyed life a lot more had we had a he chance to meet IRL. PEACE BE WITH YOU MY FRIEND!

Larry was a sweet gentleman who brought smiles to our faces almost daily. He always replied back, never forgot anyone. I'm going to miss his posts. I'm going to pu a lil whiskey and read a few of these > http://forums.speedguide.net/search.php?searchid=339040

I was going to post a link to that thread, but the SG search results for "bullsh|t" were too numerous

sometimes you have to think outside the box to get inside the box .

It's been many years since I've visited this forum. I was thinking about good old speed guide and come here to see this. Very sad. You will be missed. You were one of the names I always associated with speed guide. RIP.

OK, this is a punch in the gut.

SG has been blessed with some interesting personalities. Larry offered exquisite charm, sly humor and the unusual ability to convey true friendship in an online milieu. The quaint expression, "A Class Act" immediately comes to mind when I would think about him. It pains me deeply to think he dwells now only in my memories.

Bless you, Larry. My life has been better for knowing you.
