Congratulations, honestly. 16 years - that feels like quite a while. I remember the battles, the fun, the weird... this place was so much fun when I was growing up. I miss a lot of people - even ones I went toe to toe with like Prey and Brent. I hope everyone is doing well.

Happy Birthday Speedguide and congrats to Philip!!
The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, and prejudices to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all of its own for the children and the children yet unborn and the pity of it is that these things cannot be confined to the Twilight Zone.

Congratulations! A birthday worth celebrating. A quality set of hip-boots is in the mail to you!
People will forget what you said... and people will forget what you did... but people will never forget how you made them feel.

If your browser can't read unicode, you should probably switch!

I was going to post a link to that thread, but the SG search results for "bullsh|t" were too numerous

sometimes you have to think outside the box to get inside the box .

    Customer Randy m: hi Doug
    Agent Douglas Y.: Him Randy.
    Agent Douglas Y.: Hi*
Customer Randy M: I received a Gift cert for newegg.com from my friend in the USA but I live in Canada can i transfer it to new egg.ca? or ???
Agent Douglas Y.: Thank you for providing me with that information. I will be more than happy to assist you. Could you please provide me with the gift code ?
    Customer Randy M: gc id?
    Agent Douglas Y.: Yes, Randy.
    Customer Randy M: 867****
Agent Douglas Y.: Thank you. I am checking.
Agent Douglas Y.: One moment please.
Customer Randy M: sure no problem
Agent Douglas Y.: Thank you for holding, Randy. I am sorry, I have verified with our customer service department, we are unable to switch the gift card to Newegg.ca
Customer Randy M: new egg does not ship to Canada correct?
Agent Douglas Y.: Yes, you are correct.
    Customer Randy M: any suggestions?
Agent Douglas Y.: Hmm, I am sorry since the gift card can only used for Newegg.com, you may resell the gift card to someone who can purchase the item from Newegg.com.
Customer Randy M: we'll that sucks eh
Customer Randy M: can the card be cancelled? refunded and then my friend Phillip can buy me a new one from newegg.ca?
    Customer Randy M: Doug?
Agent Douglas Y.: I am sorry, I am checking, one moment please.
Customer Randy M: ok cool thanks bro
Customer Randy M: reminds me of when my grandma bought me a Nintendo cartridge for my Sega system
Customer Randy M: onetime she gave me an ashtray for xmas.. i don't even smoke cigarettes...
Customer Randy M: god bless that careless old bat
Agent Douglas Y.: Thank you for holding, Randy. I have verified with our related department, we can cancel the gift card and refund to your friend. However, your friend will need go to Newegg.ca to purchase the gift card. Unfortunate, Newegg.ca can only accept credit card issued by Canadian banks. In addition, if you still need to cancel the gift card, you will need ask your friend to contact us back.
Customer Randy M: we'll thats better than trying to sell it.
Customer Randy M: thanks for your Time and hopefully in the future we will be able to share with our brothers down in the USA
Agent Douglas Y.: Thank you for your understanding.
Agent Douglas Y.: Is there anything else I can assist you with today?

So I was just sitting here re-reading these posts and it struck me... I've been here since 2000. It got me thinking and I was trying to remember the specs on the computer I would have used to first access SG. I can't quite remember if it was my 133mhz Pentium or not? Wow, so much time has passed.
