So what did you score for Black Friday (November) and Cyber Monday ?

Just went to BestBuy.com and got this:

    WE'RE SORRY
BestBuy.com is currently unavailable. Check back soon.
They can't handle the traffic it seems, heh.

So, any great deals out there ? Did you buy something good ?

I just changed my primary router at home to Asus RT-AC68U (same as RT=AC68R). It's quite good, but I kinda miss dd-wrt so I may switch firmwares.
Linux is user friendly, it's just picky about its friends...

A lot of sites are loading REALLLLLY slow today.

I've been watching and wanting this bike work stand from Performance Bike for a long time (I've just been too cheap to do it before). Usually this is sold for between $129 - $159. It only goes down to $129 maybe twice a year and now they have it for $119... I'm heading over to the local store tomorrow and snatching it up.

We grow our own. We're now in the process of getting them to turn red. We just plant the ones from previous years and use them over and over.

Bought a 28" ASUS LED monitor for the wife.. $199-$30 MIR at Newegg, a refurb Neato XV-21 robotic vacuum cleaner for upstairs $149, LG L70 4G phone for my 10yo daughter ($29 after MIR from MetroPCS) and some cheap headphones..

    That's all for now

Newegg was really slow earlier, it was taking close to a minute to load some searches.

I haven't looked up compatability, but I've been running Tomato (Shibby v123, newer versions out there but this one has been solid for me) on my home and 2x work RT-N66U routers for almost a year and they've been great. The ones at work are set as APs since we have a SonicWall at the gateway. With the exception of the built-in torrent client and asus.com domain DDNS domain (neither of which I used with the stock firmware) it's extremely feature-rich beyond stock, and not with useless shiny things. I haven't used DD-WRT with these, however. That was my go-to firmware for years on previous routers, though. Good stuff as long as you're not sacrificing the functionality you want.

Back to the thread title, I was a complete Black Friday/Cyber Monday wuss. Nothing really screamed at me. I've been second-guessing myself on a SSD >/= 480/512GB for the past couple months and every time I see one at a decent price point I wind up thinking about it until the deal is over. I had my eye on a particular gift for my folks (either a nice wine fridge or a fancy wine-of-the-month thing) but neither of those were at a steal at the places I was watching. I'm still on the lookout, though. Depending on how the retail market has behaved this year, you can often find even better "last ditch" sales closer to X-mas. So I guess I'll roll the dice this year.
