    How shaving became enjoyable

For 20 years I had no choice but to shave so when I retired from the Corps 10 years a go I was done shaving every damn day. Since I decided to check out old double edge razors, brushes soaps and other accessories it has become almost a hobby and a pleasure to shave again. Wife likes it too! Anyone else shave with old double edge or single edge razors?

But yes, I love my double blade Gillette razor, don't even know how ancient.

I see some new brushes and razors there. The wood-handled brush is very cool.

Is that you in the photograph?

    I just use an electric.

Scratch her thighs with your stubble...or are you implying it's a pita to shave her daily?

Over the years I've just become lazy. My job has absolutely no personal contact with the outside world and my employer has never said a thing about my shaving habits so I've just let it ride. I do admit I should be shaving every day for no other reason than looking sharp... but I don't.

Me, I used to hate shaving until I decided to hang a mirror in the shower and now I do it every day.

I use soap and one of these http://www.schickquattro.com/sq_home_flash.cfm

Also, I use Witch Hazel on my face and neck.....very soothing to the skin.

Are those brushes badger, boar, or horse?

Never heard of the horse hair before but they're out there.
