Not the best actor out there, but absolutely perfect for the roles he got (if that makes sense).

Midnight Run (just watched that a couple nights ago), Snatch, get Shorty...you couldn't find a better guy for those roles.

Not knocking his acting...those are the roles he was given, but he was awesome in them.

    RIP

    Hi Humboldt & cybotron r_9

Humboldt I agree wholeheartedly with your assesment...He chose his parts well, unlike many in his profession.

Dang...yeah always thought he was a good supporting actor in some roles. He was a cop in his younger years....so not surprising that he often had the role of a cop, or mobster.

One movie I often enjoy catching when it's on..."Striking Distance"...where Dennis joined a young Bruce Willis and a very young Carrie Bradshaw.

    RIP Dennis.

The movie you suggested didn't ring a bell with me till i looked it up and saw Tom Sizemore and then it all came back to me. It had several twists and turns in it. I enjoyed watching it as well.

Dennis definitely had the Cop thing nailed and was very good on the other side as well with his life experiences.

Not much more one can say other than i liked him.
