    windows 7 help please

on my wife's PC (WIN 7),I have it set to go to sleep after a designated time, the thing is this, now when she moves the mouse to wake it up, the "switch user” windows screen comes up and she has to click on the little user picture to get back into windows, no password, just that screen, any ideas why this started ?

I have gone into the "power options"-and unchecked “require password on wakeup”

How can I turn this off so that when she moves the mouse to wake it up it goes right to the desktop and not to this screen ?

I can't seem to find it,

I have her as the admin btw.

A lot of those views are probably spiders.

Have you tried enabling password, rebooting the system and entering the password, then changing the settings back to no password?

I know you're not being prompted for the password in the first place, but maybe the system forgot a setting or something.

site not viewed alot by REAL people... prob 69 bots

however if there is no password and you just want it to go right to desktop on start up or after wake up just remove this screen as in login automatically.

thanks for the link,I did what that said, and it still goes to the "locked" screen after waking up from sleep.

remember this issue is only waking up from 'sleep" mode,it doesn't happen on a boot.

my win 7 LT does the same thing.

it's not a major problem,it would just be one step easier to get on the computer,

I think this is just a win 7 thing ?

Not sure Dan. It might be. Trying to figure it out on my machine, but no luck so far.

Make sure under screensaver you have "On Resume, Display Logon Screen" Unchecked. Even if you don't have a screensaver set that check box still seems to have an impact.
