Space bar key hard to push down.

Took off all keys on my keyboard to clean them. After putting them all back on I noticed my space key is hard to push down on it. What can i do to fix it?

No, it only fits in one way.

Take the space bar off again and look at it closely, put back together again. Too many different types of configurations of parts under there to tell you what you may have put back wrong and needs to be done differently.

do space bars have metal bar/spring on them anymore or did they do away with them?

Some yes, some no...depends on make/model.
