Had always thought that ADSL employs MTU of up to 1492 only.

Hm... Should I try 1492 MTU or shall I keep going with 1500?
Btw, why I'm doing this is because my Registry sucks in Counter-Strike 1.6 and I thought this will maybe help me. What I mean by saying that my registry sucks is that my bullet don't hit the target as it should.

Like I said in the thread, All tips are appreciated!!

Also heard that vista got something called "Auto Tuning", is there anyway to inactivate this function?
What I understand the Auto Tuning sets my RWIN to default?

    Thanks in advance!

Set your MTU to 1492 and see if problem persists.

I changed my MTU to 1492 but didn't noticed any improvements.
    Any other ideas?

And btw is it able to go around the "Auto Tuning" and disable it somehow and tweak the RWIN?
I'm going to try the default settings and see if I notice any improvements or deterioration.

    See: http://www.speedguide.net/articles/w...08-tweaks-2574

To turn off the default RWIN auto tuning behavior, (in elevated command prompt) type:

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled

If you're running Vista or 7- leave it alone. You're getting the speeds that you're paying for (although it may not seem like it).
