Exclamation Not getting right speed on one pc

Ok so I got Time Warner cable had them for some time. I upgraded to the wideband service 32mb down, 5mb up. I received a Ubee DDW3611 Modem/Router combo.

I was reading about maxCPE 1 and heard it should be more, but can't change it.

Anyway, my wife's pc was connected to setup the service when the "tech" came out, then they left so I plugged my pc in.

Mine was CRAWLING.. they claimed it was just my pc and said I was dumb and left.. Yeah those techs are arrogant..

I was talking to a friend who walked me through disabling the internal router on the Ubee and I hooked up my personal Belking Surf N300 and got it to load faster and all, but still only getting half the speed my wife's pc is getting.

I've tried changing Ethernet cables, resetting the network, calling cable for about a total of 11 hours in the past 2 weeks and I gave up talking to them, same old (we'll reset it from our end, because we don't trust you did it right)..

before the upgrade to the new modem/service, we had 7mbs down, 0.37 up and BOTH my and my wife's pc got that full speed, and actually 15+mb down even though we were paying for the 7mb plan..

I really think there are some settings between the Ubee modem/router combo, and/or the belkin that I now have hooked up that may be causing the issues and all.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

The problem is not in the line as one comp can get much more than subscribed speed.

Probably difference is how the browser is reacting to speed boosting feature of the ISP.

But I'm also having gaming issues as well, latency as high as 100-300ms higher than my wife's pc with the same hardware/software and settings..

what games? Those speed tests are fine to me but so far I don't see any issues that stand out. What about drivers..have you made sure ethernet drivers for starters are updated? Also how is you're computer and you're wifes connected to the router have you switched out cables? Also could try resetting the router - should be a little reset button on the back to hold in for say 10seconds to do this.

World of Warcraft, Call of Duty MW2, etc.. We're both connected via hardwire, I've tried swapping for her cable, and even replacing my cable and still see no visible change.. The thing is, is that before we upgraded to the cable Wideband 32down/5 up , the old modem with my current router worked perfectly, but we just needed a little more speed as the old package was 7mb down, 0.30 up.

When they initially did the install, they setup the Ubee combo modem/router with ONE computer, which was my wife's, when I hooked mine up mine just crawled so I spent like 6 hours on the phone with a friend that walked me through bridging the Ubee so I can connect my old router and that made things work much better, but still not like before..

I've recently updated my drivers and noticed no change in that as well. I hope it's not going bad, but the odd thing is that it happened the day they changed the equipment. I have 2 phones with wireless and before the switch, I got the full 7mb down on each of those as well, after the switch I'm lucky to pull 9mb down (I know wireless you won't get the full speed compared to wired, but that's pretty low to be under 1/3 of the speed)..

Edit: Here's a typical speed test from my pc

The one posted the other day was a rare speed, but my wife's pc is nearly consistent all the time..

And here's a pretty consistent one of my wife's pc..

Something is just wrong with you're computer then.. not sure exactly what cause that's a hell of a drop in speed but the pings are fine however you've tested on two different locations one is Herndon VA and the other is Richmond VA..can you test same locations at the same time say in the morning post those and then again around 9pm?

Perhaps the comp needs a driver update for its network adapter card to match its operating system.

Already done that, what should I have my speed and duplex settings on, and my transmit and receive buffers to?
