Good point about the snow... The new version is generally a bit more CPU intensive because of all the javascript I suppose, but it shouldn't be that bad. The quick reply box does seem to have some delay in IE, then again, I have about 20 browser windows open.

The regular snow doesn't use much CPU, spikes to 17% of 1 core but holds steady around 5 or so. The snow that can be moved around with the mouse maxes the core out at 50% though.
Good observation, let me test on my end and we may switch back to it.
Update: My Task Manager shows 6-10% CPU usage with either version for some reason... (on a quad-core with hyperthreading)
My P2 233 Mhz computer can't handle your website. It's too much for it, always maxed out at 100% with the snow on.![]()

I've reduced the number of flakes for the benefit of energy efficiency and some sub-500MHz and netbook users out there
On a separate note, Facebook Connect should now be functional as well.
-1 cool point for the facebook stuff.
Other note: In the SG chat, every now and then I'll type something and it won't show up. I'm using chrome.
the snow cpu usage was always there even before the new version... I'm using a different scale of it where it falls and doesn't move from mouse movement on the old 3.x vB version and it's still using between 17 to 24% at random but not that much of a concern either way.
Looking good Ph.
What does the "remember me" check box do?
