Question Using my home internet connection via VPN from public hot spots - possible ?

    Hi,

I am traveling frequently and am sometimes forced to use an open, unsecured hot spot (hotel, airport, etc.).

Is there a way to overcome the inherent insecurity of this scenario by using a VPN that connects to my home network, and from there use my cable Internet connection to access the internet? If so, what equipment do I need to buy ?

    Thanks for any insight !

You can use Hamachi VPN if you have a PC running at home.
Or use a neutral service designed for just this purpose..."AnchorFree Hotspot Shield".
