    access shared folder of local system from public ip system

    hi

    i am using windows xp sp3.

    i am connected in local network.

    in my system there is a shared folder.

    i have another system connected in public network.

    how to access that shared folder from public ip system(public network system)?

    what if he access my data?

    Security is controlled via who you give access to your VPN to. Who is "he"?
    Security is also controlled via NTFS permissions on the folder/files being shared.
