To my knowledge the binaries of Stuxnet had no clues indicating China was the country of
origin.

A more likely originator is Israel. If so, the "who profits?" question
should be obvious.
Actually, if Israel, they can kill two birds with one stone inasmuch as the
major tactical target seems to be Siemens industrial controllers. Siemens
maintained an assembly plant inside Auschwitz and the Jews have a long
memory.
