I followed the Beginner's Guide regarding TCP Optimizer and also ran the tracert command in command prompt to see what my latencies were, and well, before and after using TCP Optimizer and making some changes to my NIC, my latency to the modem haven't improved, and overall, the latency is pretty crazy. It says at times that my latency to the modem is 14ms, and yet my modem is only a few feet away (wired).
Why would I have such latency to the modem? That must be contributing to my lag spikes of 500ms in games, at least to some degree.

High ping ? only check G.dmt & AnnexA or AnnexL ! Uncheck ADSL 2+ !
