Question Lets talk about the Knights Templar some

I was looking at a website of old New Orleans and ran across some interesting pictures. This one I found a bit interesting, I thought the Knights Templar were dissolved or executed on Friday the 13th sometime around the middle ages. That’s how Fri. 13th became known as unlucky. It seems like a lot of trouble to go through for a joke krewe of people. The only info available to me is in the quote. Are the Knights Templar still in existence?

Arch placed on Canal Street for the 1922 Knight Templars Conclave held in the city.

Yes they are. I have quite a few friends that are Knights.

All the questions you want answered are withing the Masonic knowledge. To become a Shriner you have to go through one of two paths. York rite which is the Knights Templar, or Scottish rite which is the 32 degrees of Masonry. A 33rd degree is an honorary degree appointed those Masons (in the Scottish rite) that have done a lot of work in the fraternity.

I can answer most of the questions you may have as far as all the Masonic bodies.

    Have a great day Tobey.

My grandfather was part of the masons but i'm not sure about that knights.

If i"m not mistaken they helped the other knights buy holding on to their money and belongings to give it to them at another country..

There was something on the history channel about it...

The Order of the Red Cross is still very active. They also control our nation's blood supply. It is a very profitable business. They love $$$$$$

Blood is expensive, in excess of $1000 per unit depending on region. The Red Cross and all donation centers are non-profit businesses. What benefit is there for controlling the nation’s blood supply?

    non-profit business,-

The key-^They are in most countries exempt from income and property taxation.

usually those at the top do quite well.

$1000 a unit for free blood, guessing there is some distributable wealth in that.

I realize a NPO is mostly based on ownership and taxes. I still fail to see how the Knights Templar controls the world’s blood supply.

Most of the cost is transportation and (I think) the 15 test it goes through before it is put through before it goes into someone, controlled by the FDA. Plus the blood is divided into three parts when it is donated.

I had no clue that the Knights Templar was still organized to some extent. It has to be the oldest group in the world to belong to.
