I'm going to need to migrate a MS Access 2003 database to MySQL.
It's been a long time since I dabbled with a MySQL database and I'm not sure what's new and where I should start. I guess I need to install MySQL on my local machine to get started so... If I remember correctly there was a complete package that would install Apache/MySQL in on fell swoop. Is that still the case?
I want to develop the backend locally and then turn the front end duties over to another programme to do the front end PHP dutiesr. If possible I would like to install some sort of platform on my local machine where I could experiment with the Front End web pages that would be exposed to the Client in order to give my programmer a better understanding of what I'm looking for.

No one has any right to force data on you
and command you to believe it or else.
If it is not true for you, it isn't true.
