I think its more likely to be a combination of:
1. how many clients does your wifi support (remember that each VoIP device
needs to be allocated its own IP address), I'd guess at 254, so assuming
other devices call it 128 VoIP clients.
and
2. how much bandwidth do you have available - either across your wifi link
or across your broadband, and how many simultaneous conversations will that
support. Assuming that each conversation requires 64kbps (its probably less)
then a 1mbps broadband connection (most are faster than that) would support
16 clients (all talking at the same time). YMMV.
However, this is on paper I've not needed to worry about it in practise.
