    local area connection setup .

    hi , i see a lot of items in the connection properties
    i dont think i am using anything else but the tcp/ipv4

    do i gain anything from removing the others ? and if so haw to do that ? thanks

    Depends on the use of the computer..if it's part of a network with other PCs..and servers..file and print sharing, running apps, etc...you don't want to touch the Client, and File and Print Sharing services which are bound to TCP/IP and the NIC.

    If you're just a stand alone computer...hitting the internet, it's harmless to uncheck those, and really...no noticeable performance gain. Although if it's a PC sitting directly on a public IP address (not behind NAT)..like...a public game server, I uncheck those to help security (amongst many other things).

    Since IP6 isn't used yet...harmless to uncheck that.
    QoS...no gain from unchecking that.

    ok sorry for not providing info on my pc connection use .

    am just connected to my adsl provider company and i just surf download stuff normally
    and use torrent client . i dont do anything else .. i dont use it as a server or anything
    but i play online normally . i am behind nat . remember my other post ?

    like 1,2,3 ex or should i remove them all .

    also all i need to do is uncheck them ? not uninstall them ? thanks
