    Another Perspective on Haiti

[Shared from retired military General Officer channels, forwarded to me by one of those retired Generals.]

    Date: Monday, January 25, 2010, 5:47 AM

News back from Nic Brockhausen. He and Dennis Hebler made it back somewhat safe and sound.

    To All,

I just returned from Haiti with Hebler. We flew in at 3 AM Sunday to the scene of such incredible destruction on one side, and enormous ineptitude and criminal neglect on the other.

Port o Prince is in ruins. The rest of the country is fairly intact. Our team was a rescue team and we carried special equipment that locates people buried under the rubble. There are easily 200,000 dead, the city smells like a charnal house. The bloody UN was there for 5 years doing apparently nothing but wasting US Taxpayers' money. The ones I ran into were either incompetent or outright anti-American. Most are French or French-speakers, worthless every damn one of them. While 1800 rescuers were ready willing and able to leave the airport and go do our jobs, the UN and USAID (another organization full of little OBamites and communists that openly speak against America)[sic, incomplete sentence]

These two organizations exemplified their parochialism by:

USAID, when in control of all inbound flights, had food and water flights stacked up all the way to Miami, yet allowed Geraldo Rivera, Anderson Cooper, and a host of other left-wing news puppies to land.

Pulled all the security off the rescue teams so that Bill Clinton and his wife could have the grand tour, whilst we sat unable to get to people trapped in the rubble.

Stacked enough food and water for the relief over at the side of the airfield then put a guard on it while we dehydrated and wouldn't release a drop of it to the rescuers.

No shower facilities to decontaminate after digging or moving corpses all day, except for the FEMA teams who brought their own shower and decon equipment, as well as air-conditioned tents.

No latrine facilities, less digging a hole if you set up a sh*tter everyone was trying to use it.

I watched a 25 year old Obamite with the USAID, shrieking hysterically, berate a full bird colonel in the Air Force, because he countermanded her orders, whilst trying to unscrew the air pattern. "You don't know what your president wants! The military isn't in charge here, we are!"

If any of you are thinking of giving money to the Haitian relief, or to the UN, don't waste your money. It will only go to further the goals of the French and the Liberal left.

If we are a fair and even society, why is it that only white couples are adopting Haitian orphans? Where the hell is that vocal minority that is always screaming about the injustice of American society?

Bad place, bad situation, but a perfect look at the new world order in action. New Orleans magnified a thousand times. Haiti doesn't need democracy, what Haiti needs is Papa Doc. That's not just my opinion, that is what virtually every Haitian we talked with said. The French (who) run the UN treat us the same as when we were a colony, at least Papa Doc ran the country.

Oh, and as a last slap in the face the last four of us had to take US AIRWAYS home from Phoenix. They slapped me with a 590 dollar baggage charge for the four of us. The girl at the counter was almost in tears because she couldn't give us a discount or she would lose her job. Pass that on to the flying public.

On another note, here's a post written by a Special Forces member who was in Haiti:
    http://sfachapterix.blogspot.com/201...-covenant.html

My team and I are preparing for another launch into Haiti. The work is tiring, hours are long, but probably some of the most rewarding I have ever been involved with. As I previously wrote, the act of kindness and selfless service are abundant in Haiti. Everyday men and women working countless hours to aid the Haitian people and bring a level of humanity to this inhuman situation. Amazing to witness…

I want to shed some light to a group that is often ridiculed and mostly miss-understood. As my team and I worked to secure the University of Miami field hospital (in Port of Prince), we were approached by a group (no less than 20) of young people, all donning bright yellow t-shirts. Their shirts displayed their church affiliation. No, not a Baptist church, not a Catholic church, not even a Christian organization but instead they were all members of the Church of Scientology.

Yes, the same Scientology that seems to be the latest in celebrity fads and so laughed by those of us whom have more “conventional” backgrounds when it comes to religion. After me and the other pipe-hitters joked a bit, it became apparent that these young people were here to assist us and render aid to the suffering. We were asked by the hospital administrator to employ these volunteers in yellow; and like any good Special Forces troop, we found work for our newest grunts. Immediately we had theses young believers of a different power cleaning bed-pans, escorting patients between wards, stacking the endless ocean of relief surplus and simply doing some really tough work. With a smile on their faces and a warmth for the suffering, these young people executed each task in a manner all of us as Americans would be proud.

Day after day they entered the camp (0700 hrs), yellow shirts fading daily from the previous day’s work but they never stopped or even slowed. Never a mal-word, never questioning our request (ok, sometimes our requests sounded like orders being barked) but always doing whatever was required to assist the people of Haiti. My team and I had the opportunity to talk with many of the Scientologist volunteers. Of course there were a few jokes, (SF-types always like to pick-fun at folks different from us) and to be honest they could dish it out as well as they receive it; but what a group of people! Religious beliefs aside (Hell, I really have no clue on what they believe in; only what I have read or heard about through media channels) these guy and girls are OK by me. They lived the selfless service motto; never questioning, always doing for others. Day after demanding day.

We all have differing values, beliefs and ethos we live by. I may not understand the Scientology church (if it is even referred to as a church) but I can attest to the fact that theses volunteers in once bright and now fading yellow shirts are a credit to whatever affiliation they serve. Their higher power has directed these young people to serve, just as my team and thousands continue to do in this terrible environment. It was my pleasure to meet and serve alongside the volunteers for the Scientology Church. Different beliefs / All American!

Sheesh, I haven't been here in a while. Shame my first post in a while has to be pointing out idiocy. Come on, Blacklab, it's clear as day that the post you shared is laced with both political and national bias. He couldn't be more right-wing, republican if he tried. He passes all criteria!

    Hate the French? Check!
    Hate the UN? Check!
Hate Obama? Check! Don't forget to ridicule any liberal-appearing people as "Omabites"
Hate anything "left" or "liberal"? Check!
Assume that only WHITE people are adopting kids? Check! Wait, uhhh, adopting, or kidnapping? Same difference, Haiti is a dump, they'll be miles better off in the USofA! Check!!! (wait, don't you forget now that white people are all right-leaning, liberal/communist-hating patriots!)
He even got to label a group of people as communists. This guy's a real American hero.

Heard back (from) Mr. Brokhausen via Incredible Adventures.

Nick doesn't work for Incredible Adventures, but has been an instructor at our Covert Ops camp in the past. I forwarded your note to Nick and received the following response:

"That was a private message that someone heavily edited, someone no doubt with their own private agenda. Tell your friend it was a mess, the US gov was woefully unprepared to meet the disaster, the UN is a farce, but it is not Obama's fault, nor our responsibility to save Haiti."

Hate the French? Check! - Not true, I just don't really like them. Too whiney.

Hate the UN? Check! - Not true. The premise of the organization is good it just needs to be run better. You know, put the well being of the people they are suppose to serve first, and quit worrying about covering their ass.

Hate Obama? Check! Don't forget to ridicule any liberal-appearing people as "Omabites" - Absolutely not true. I think Obama is the bet thing to
happen to the US in a long time. I think he came in with good ideas, like wanting to do things different, but he has been side lined by what happens to all politicians. They spend more time making sure they make decisions to get re-elected, not what they promised.

Hate anything "left" or "liberal"? Check! Not really clear on what is left or liberal. Hate, the only think I hate is liver. Can't think of any living thing I
hate. A few I don't like, but that is their problem. I tend to avoid things and people that upset me, I'm too busy living.

As far as WHITE people adopting kids - I could give a rats a-hole, as long as the kids are taken care of. I don't base people on their colour or ethnic background, I base it on how they act toward their fellow animals. Treat me right -reciprocated, treat me bad - I ignore you, or kill you.

    ============

As for you YARDofSTUF I don't have a clue as to what you mean, "Blacklab is a virus!"

Unless it is a joke I don't look for the hidden meaning in posts like that.

    ============

I guess I should have pointed out what I was getting at instead of letting others point out the petty things they want to argue about.

Things I kind of thought were important. like why when the USAID was in control they had planes bringing in aid backed up while a politician and other non-rescuers were preparing to land. Would you not think the aid was more important? The curious could have waited until the rescue was well under way.

"USAID, when in control of all inbound flights, had food and water flights stacked up all the way to Miami, yet allowed Geraldo Rivera, Anderson
Cooper, and a host of other left-wing news puppies to land.

Pulled all the security off the rescue teams so that Bill Clinton and his wife could have the grand tour, whilst we sat unable to get to people trapped
    in the rubble."
In the case of disasters like this you don't need organizations like USAID or the UN in control of anything. They spend too much time making sure
their political positions are looked after first. Let the military, or trained volunteers do it. Everybody knows their job, and they just do it.

The military train for things like this and they get the job done like no one else, and I speak of this from experience. When the military are deployed to do a job they are self-sufficient and are ready to do what they have to.

Maybe I should have deleted some of the questionable stuff, but I figured people would pick out the important things and ignore the petty crap.

I have been doing a lot of reading about this since my friend sent me the e-mail. These e-mails from the pilots group don't kid about things like this.

Even horrible, family and life destroying evil cults can have a few members with a little compassion and caring left in their souls. Doesn't change the fact that the cult is horrible, evil, and out to destroy everyone's family and life.
