    Win7 and Broadband Tweaks

At the risk of sounding stupid, I'm not able to tweak my broadband like I used to with XP...

    Please help me out here:

    1. What type of connection do you have? DSL, 7Mbps down/896 up

(this is using the server that's about 1/2 mile from my home office, 72ms ping)
Here's part of a problem - EVERY speedtest that I check with (Speedtest.net, Speakeasy, 2Wire, BroadbandReports, BandwidthPlace, etc.) - ALL do the same thing, they all hang at close to the 3Mb mark, then crank to almost 80Mb/s most of the time, much like caching...even though I've flushed my DNS, emptied cookies, reset my router and modem and restarted my computer multiple times)

    2. Who is your ISP and what is your advertised speed from them? Infowest.com, 7Mbps down/896 up

    3. What are your current settings now?

    Code:
     SpeedGuide.net TCP Analyzer Results
    Tested on: 01.21.2010 19:54
    IP address: xxx.xx.xxx.xxx
    Client OS: Windows 7

    TCP options string: 020405b40103030801010402
    MSS: 1460
    MTU: 1500
TCP Window: 65536 (NOT multiple of MSS)
    RWIN Scaling: 8 bits (2^8=256)
    Unscaled RWIN : 256
    Recommended RWINs: 64240, 128480, 256960, 513920, 1027840
    BDP limit (200ms): 2621kbps (328KBytes/s)
    BDP limit (500ms): 1049kbps (131KBytes/s)
    MTU Discovery: ON
    TTL: 44
    Timestamps: OFF
    SACKs: ON
    IP ToS: 00000000 (0)
    4. Please tell us your operating system: Windows 7 Ultimate x64

I'm at a loss here - I've tried the SG Vista TCP/IP batch, I've tried TCP Optimizer (even though I know it's for older OS'es) as well as Dr. TCP (same thing, made for older OS'es, but hey, I didn't know if it would work or not)

So, I just need to figure out how Win7 is throttling my speeds - clearly my RWIN isn't set properly, and Win7 doesn't have the same registry entries that XP had.

Can someone give me a hand here?

    Thanks in advance,
    Psychlone

I should mention that I've not only flushed my DNS, but deleted cookies, history and all cache as well...
AND, I hit the wrong button to edit...sorry!!!

    I should mention this:

And, my laptop is doing the same exact thing, BUT, my laptop has never had a single tweak done to it - default Win7 settings. Although, my RWIN looks normal on the laptop...

Sorry for the multiple posts, but I really need some help here.

    Anyone??

If it's because of Windows 7, just let me know...I'll quit worrying about it, but if there's something that can be done, I'd really love to learn what/how so I can help others with Win7 as well!

    Thanks in advance,

When you release the new Optimizer, don't forget a checkbox to disable whatever automatic scaling win7 does.
