The only thing good to come out of 2009 was the birth of my second grandson in September, but it was quickly offset with the death of my best friend, from heart surgery, 2 days later.

I had been working at a job through a staffing agency , which was timed only to last one year. But the company I was working at hired me on when my time was up at the staffing agency. Which was great, because they were over staffed as it was and I was told that they were not hiring anyone new onto the permanent staff.

I was so relieved that I would not have to try in find a new job in an area with over 10,000 unemployed residents. And even though I don't much like my job being jobless stresses the hell out of me far more.

I hate being jobless, it's scary and it keeps you up at night. To learn that I would have a permanent job that I can do with little effort was such a huge relief; even if it is not my ideal job.
