Unable to make an Apple iPod Touch connect to my new Linksys WRT54GLwireless router.

    Hello.

    I am trying to set up my client's iPod Touch (bought it over a year ago;
using firmware v2.2 (5G77)) to connect to my new encrypted Linksys
WRT54GL wireless router. After we entered the password (case sensitive
too and WPA shared key) like five times, it said "Failed to join
    'FooBarWRT54GL'" right away.

The router uses latest firmware v4.30.13 with these wireless settings:
Wireless Network Mode: Mixed (want to support both B and devices/clients).
Wirless Network Name (SSID) Example: FooBarWRT54GL
    Wireless Channel: 1-2.412GHZ
    Security Mode: WPA2 Personal
    WPA Algorithms: TKIP+AES
WPA Shared Key Example: Abunchofletters aspacetoo

I assume this device can do WPA Personal since it saw the WAP and asked
for a password. We had no problems with an over year old 15" MacBook Pro
(2.4 Ghz and Mac OS X 10.5.8), and it was easy as cake.

Any ideas? Thank you in advance. :)

Is there any chance it's a "2nd Gen" iPod Touch? Apparently, there's a
known issue with those and WPA2. If it's not that, a Google search
also turned up an issue where even though the keyboard shows all caps,
the characters entered are lower case unless each is accompanied by
the shift key. Probably a good handful of other possibilities, too,
most of which are likely iPod related more so than Linksys related.
