Thumbs up Got tix for Queensryche

show here in Orlando on Feb. 13th. Don Dokken is opening for them and will be playing acoustic version of some of Dokken's biggest hits. Seen Queensryche to many times to count and this should be yet another great show.

    Cool beans!

I decided to break my reluctance to pay extortion prices for rock tickets and bought a couple for an upcoming Tool concert.

However, they didn't break the bank and I didn't need a loan.

Hey that's cool. Btw, did you know Queensryche covers some Floyd on their new "Take Cover" CD?

It's pretty good. What I like about it is they give it their own little spin on it.

I will be seeing them again tonight at the House of Blues in Orlando. This will be the 11th consecutive year I have seen them at least once if memory serves. They are doing a mixture of songs off "Rage for Order", "Empire", and "American Soldier".

I saw Queensrych a couple times, once they were an opening band for Metallica (I think), once it was for Empire. They are an excellent band live, never let me down.

… and Tool? They are at the very top of my “to see” list. I’m bummed that I missed them last time they were here in NOLA.

I’ve always wondered about Roody and his fascination with anything “Queen” in it. What’s next “I got tickets to the play Somewhere over the Rainbow”?

It was a great show. Of all the times I have seen them though this was their smallest crowd. It was only between 900-1,000 people. Usually they completely pack the House of Blues which has a 2,200 capacity. Still a great time that's for sure.

Yeah, even though they are a great band live, their fan base seems to be dropping.

My guess is it's just the economy right now because they usually hold steady at around 2k. Guess we will see when it picks up again.
