any chance of posting prices your going to pay for each of those? I mean they look good and all but perhaps we might be able to find cheaper sources for the parts.
Hey, I'll be building a new PC next month and wanted your opinion on my proposed setup.
It'll be my everything PC. I'll O/C to ~3.5GHz. The items I'm not really sure about are the case, monitor, and video card.
Case: NZXT Tempest
P/S: PC Power & Cooling 750W
CPU: Intel Core i7 920
HSF: ZALMAN CNPS9900
mobo: MSI X58 Eclipse
RAM: OCZ Gold 6GB
vid: EVGA Geforce GTX 285
HD: WD VelociRaptor WD3000
DVD: SAMSUNG 22X DVD±R
LCD: ASUS MK241H
Thanks

Sounds like just about every other entry Core i7 setup out there, it will be fast and work well.
I'll be ordering off newegg.ca - so those are the prices. Not too many local computer stores where I live, and don't know of many other online retailers that ship to Canada.
As configured, it's ~$2700 CAD after shipping / taxes but before a couple mail-in rebates.

Whoa.......ssjDoh!!
It's been a while!
The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, and prejudices to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all of its own for the children and the children yet unborn and the pity of it is that these things cannot be confined to the Twilight Zone.

After a lot of research, I've changed my build around lol
Already got the LCD - BenQ 2400WD
Here's what I'm replacing
CM 680
Gigabyte UD5 mobo
Seagate 7200.12 1TB drive
ATi 4890
Mugen 2 or TRUE cooler, unsure still
New build will be cheaper and ~95% the performance of my original build. I'm hoping I'll get the d0 stepping and o/c to 4GHz...

I would stay away from the Gigabyte.
These are on my short list of motherboards.

I've had Asus before, didn't really like their support.
Plus, from researching (although things might have changed with new BIOS updates) the Gigabyte and I think evga were the only boards that would come out of 'sleep' mode correctly once overclocked.

Just an update, bought all my stuff! Found a store that guarantees d0 stepping. Hope to be getting everything next week.
Also noticed a typo in my earlier post, the cost estimation. I originally had $2700. Final cost was ~$1600
