    Wireless mouse review at NewEgg...

Looking to get a small Bluetooth mouse for a laptop; I'm reading through the reviews for a Microsoft model and come across this snippet:

"This is a mini wireless laser mouse. That being true, one would think it's designed for portability and thus would work well on a variety of surfaces. It does not. It does not work well on my couch cushion. It does not work well on a blanket. It does not work well on newspaper. It does not work well on a blank sheet of newspaper. It does not work well on my pants."

What the heck does anyone need a mouse for if they have a laptop?

The touch pad gets annoying for long periods of time. I have a wireless mouse for mine.

Sitting in courthouses all day going back and forth between cells in Excel gets really tiresome using the trackpad. I can get things done a lot quicker with a "real" mouse. Trackpads work for casual use of the laptop.

I use a bluetooth laser mouse for my Dell laptop. The eraser mouse on Dell laptops are horrible and I hate glidepads. IBM Thinkpads have the best eraser mice, though I'd prefer a mouse any day of the week when using a laptop and space isn't an issue.

I'll never understand why the IBM/Lenovo trackpoints are so much better than anything else on the market. It's a piece of rubber - how difficult can it be?
When they kick at your front door, how you gonna come? With your hands at your head, or the trigger of your gun?

I like using a mouse with my laptop when space allows as well, makes it much more comfortable for prolonged use without the need to keep my hand hanging in the air in the middle of the lappy.

I use a Logitech VX Revolution RF wireless laser mouse. The USB dongle is very small and gets stored in the mouse itself, tilt wheel, 8 buttons, battery lasts a long time, very comfortable for a compact mouse.

The only gripe I have is the need for an USB dongle, but you have many more choices compared to bluetooth mice.

More extensive testing is needed on women's articles on clothing, I'll get right on it.

    I'll bite.

I DO use my mouse on pants, truck hoods, tailgates and the like all the time. Some clients need to see designs at the site and more often than not they wanna be looking at the site while I'm showing them stuff on computer. I'd never mention it's poor performance on denim versus linen in a review however.
