    help tweaking Globelines

    i am subscribed to 1mbps globelines connection but i am only getting a 860+ max download speed on speedtest.net.

    here is my TCP analyzer results:

    Try the following with TCP Optimizer:

    General Settings tab:
    Custom settings - check
    Modify All Network Adapters - check
    network adapter selection - your NIC
    MTU - 1400
    TTL - 64
    Windows Scaling - uncheck
    TCP Receive Window - 64240
    MTU Discovery - Yes
    Black Hole Detect - No
    Selective Acks - Yes
    Max Duplicate ACKs - 2
    TCP 1323 Options:
    Timestamps - uncheck

    Advanced Settings tab:
    Max Connections per Server - 8
    Max Connections per 1.0 Server - 8
    LocalPriority - 5
    Host Priority - 6
    DNSPriority - 7
    NetbtPriority - 8
    Lan Browsing speedup - optimized
    QoS: NonBestEffortLimit - 0
    ToS: DisableUserTOSSetting - 0

    does it mean, my ISP is limiting my internet speed?

    No. Because of line electrical resistance and other issues your actual speed will always be about 80% - 90 % of your allocated speed.

    is there anything i can do about this?
    the odd thing is, before i was able to get 900 kbps - 1mbps speed.
    but now i only get a max of 860kbps.

    change the mtu to 1500 I had typeo
