Do a tracert to www.yahoo.com and post. Note - a tracert and not a traceroute!

What kind of antivirus and firewall are you using in your comp?

What is the brand and model of your modem?

I suspect your Beetel modem has a built-in router and your connection is double NAT - meaning 2 routers connected to each other.

Log into your Beetel modem using http://192.168.1.1 and set it into bridge mode to turn off its router. Save and reboot the Beetel.

Does that mean your desktop is connected by cable to the wireless router? Did you turn off the wireless function in the router? If not, is it secured with WPA encryption? If it is not secured, some neighbour may be using part of your bandwidth.
