    Home surveillance

Anyone recommend a system, just one or 2 cameras, that I could hook up to my PC to record?

Looked at some from Radio Shack and Costco, just wondering if anyone has experience with these.

    Thanks

Interiror, exterior, night vision capable, with sound, motion activated, remote controlled, remotely managed by cell phone or PC, etc????

What are your requirements? Let's start with that first.

Let me know if you see something out there you like. I think I've offered you assistance before with your biz and shoplifters.

We use PCI cards and software hardwired to quality cameras via BNC/coax. The "big box" stuff is usually pretty low quality, but the price is low too. "You get what you pay for" holds true in CCTV equipment.

Let me know if you have specific questions.

They work well at night? I'm thinking of putting some in place when we get a house bought.

Thought I added that last night...was pretty buzzed Ran out of MGD and tapped the Pilnser Urquell.

Probably just 2 exterior cameras, no sound, motion activated would be nice but not required, night vision would be nice but not required. Not worried about remote control or remote management.

We're about to put in a new system at work...8 new camera, DVR, motion activated, etc...looks prety nice.

From Costco, about $800 I think.

For my house I just want to be able to cover the front driveway and the back door. Any software you'd recommend if I but the cameras separately?

Now they just need to learn how to organize it, and show features and comparisons.
