Can I have a hand with Zone Alarm?

    Greetings -

I am using Zone Alarm v. 7.0.483 in Windows 2000SP4 on a Sager Notebook.
Recently I attended a symposium and am now being asked to participate in an
evaluation by going to this link: http://tinyurl.com/6e66gt . Problem is my
Zone Alarm blocks it and I have looked around ZA and can't find anything or any
way to allow the link. There are places to put Expert Rules but I have no
    reference for the instructions.

I was hoping that I could find a place to put the URL in but so far I haven't.
    I'll appreciate any help.

Did you tinyurl it or was it given to you that way?

I have no problem seeing the page. It's about Fibromyalgia.

Does ZA give a reason? (though I think we first need to know if you
were only trying the tinyurl or if you were going directly to
    swedish.org ?

That worked. I'm guessing that even if you told me how you came up with that I
would not understand - but if it is simple, please try me. I told Swedish I
would let them know what I found.

    Thank you. gm

I didn't tinyurl it. I copied it as it came through on the invitation message.
I can make the large URL above work and I am on site, but the one you supplied
    also doesn't work. Here's what Mozilla/ZA says:
    ------------------
    "Connection Interrupted
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again."
    ------------------
I am baffled by this stuff but also by what must have taken time to do the
"un-obvious" and create a tiny url, and to what end?

Thank you. Now I'll go to take the survey. gm

The "preview" link is for just that, to see where the thing is going to
take you, in case you don't trust the source. But apparently your
    ZoneAlarm blocks everything to tinyurl.

Can you go direct to their site? http://tinyurl.com/

    I found this: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Error_loading_any_website
which does indicate it is the firewall. Perhaps you can digest the
advice given there. (I don't use ZoneAlarm.)

Normally, tinyurls are only beneficial when the full one is more than
what will fit without wrapping in a standard email or post. There was no
need for it here, that is sure.

Hi - No, I can't go to tinyurl.com. All of this has given me an idea of what
was up, though, and I believe I can advise the Swedish people based on it.

Thank you for the attention and explanation. Over the near future I will try to
find out what about "tinyurl" makes ZA so itchy.
