Perhaps the U.S. should pull out of Chicago?

Sent from a Navy Capt (Ret.) friend of mine. Thought it was interesting, but suspected some might be innacurate. Checked it all, all facts. Only difference is what 6 mo. period this year they looked at Iraq Casualties... if it was current 6 mo period, total would be 108. YTD '08 would be 211. Chicago totals are listed as 292... actual 1-1-08 through 7-1-08 was 291.

    Pull out of Iraq!
Perhaps the U.S. should pull out of Chicago?

    Body count:
    In the last six months:
    292killed (murdered) in Chicago;
    221killed in Iraq.
    Chicago.... Who Runs it:
Senators: Barack Obama & Dick Durbin
    Rep: Jesse Jackson Jr.,
    Illinois Gov: Rod Blogojevich,
    Illinois House leader Mike Madigan,
Illinois Atty. Gen. Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike),
Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley (son of Mayor Richard J. Daley)
.. ...our leadership in Illinois.....all Democrats.
Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago.
Of course, they're all blaming each other!
    Can't blame Republicans; they're aren't any!
State pension fund $44 Billion in debt, worst in country.
Cook County (Chicago) sales tax 10.25%highest in country. (Look 'em up if you want).
Chicago school system rated one of the worst in the country.
This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois. And he's gonna'fix'Washington politics for us!

    YeOld... a preview of what?

Since we are talking about civilians, I wonder what the civilian causalities are in Iraq per month?

As to accuracy, well the murder total has always been high. Very high. It's never mattered who was in power.

He is probably talking of what is to come. No matter who wins the blacks will RIOT, destroy their own neighborhoods and kill their own.

I was living in Minneapolis in late '95. My boss read in the minn. newspaper that there had been 4 murders in Minneapolis that year... I couldn't help but and told him that in July ('95) there had already been over 400 murders in Chicago.

I think I posted earlier this year that Chicago had the highest gas prices in the country.

yeah the taxes here are great too, higher taxes and less services.

nonetheless, Chicago is my home and I love it.

    Saddam Hussein

Full name Saddam Hussein al-Majid al-Tikriti. AKA 'Great Uncle', AKA 'Lion of Babylon', AKA 'Lion of Iraq', AKA 'Beast of Baghdad'. Saddam translates to 'One Who Confronts'.

    Country: Iraq.

Kill tally: Approaching two million, including between 150,000 and 340,000 Iraqi and between 450,000 and 730,000 Iranian combatants killed during the Iran-Iraq War. An estimated 1,000 Kuwaiti nationals killed following the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait. No conclusive figures for the number of Iraqis killed during the Gulf War, with estimates varying from as few as 1,500 to as many as 200,000. Over 100,000 Kurds killed or "disappeared". No reliable figures for the number of Iraqi dissidents and Shia Muslims killed during Hussein's reign, though estimates put the figure between 60,000 and 150,000. (Mass graves discovered following the US occupation of Iraq in 2003 suggest that the total combined figure for Kurds, Shias and dissidents killed could be as high as 300,000). Approximately 500,000 Iraqi children dead because of international trade sanctions introduced following the Gulf War.
