Here we are eight days away from another big vote and I still don't know who to vote for. I really don't like either candidate, so at this point, it's the lesser of two evils.
While I would take it to the "pick the one you agree with most", it seems once I figure out who that is, something about the issue changes or you find out that there is more harm behind the basic premise behind it.
Maybe I'll take a coin into the booth with me and decide there.

Yeah it's a tough year...hard to justify the trip to the polls and getting stuck spending time in line for something. There's just no "feeling good" about this one. I'd probably just hold my breath for 4 more years, except for the local stuff.

No Republican has won the White House without Ohio, and McCain will have a hard time piecing together a win without the state. The Reuters/Zogby poll on Monday had Obama up by 5 points, and three other recent surveys also have shown in him the lead. One Friday poll showed McCain ahead by 3 points.

I agree with the lesser of 2 evils. really hard to decide. But a write in vote is just wasting your time why bother going at all if thats the case?

I would have possibly voted McCain over Gore in 2000 because he WAS a moderate. Not so anymore. I've said it here before. I've often wondered if his joining with Bush wasn't a mirror trick. I'm now convinced it was but he threw his hat in the wrong ring with how the war went and the economy taking a downturn while he was pumping it up AND his choice of VP.
Still, I've always liked and admired McCain. I just don't like him sucking up to the fundamentalists of the Republican party as well as the "war makes us rich" group. (Carlyle group anyone?)
I wasn't convinced that Obama was moderate enough but after watching that show, I think he'll do just fine.
Oklahoma doesn't allow write-in candidates for president, nor does it recognize the Libertarian Party and it isn't on the ballot, even though I wouldn't've voted for Barr/Root anyway.
I'll be voting on the other local and state candidates.

I can see why write-in's might not be allowed but what's the deal with not having a libertarian candidate on the ballot?
Does it have something to do with your primaries? Percentage of registered voters for that party or something? Seems un-American.
I know little about Root but Barr is a nutcase. Ron Paul would have made a better candidate. I still can't see why he didn't run on the Libertarian ticket as that better represents his views. He had zero chance of getting the Republican nomination.
