(long post) New system and new tech advice and help.

I have some questions in reguards to new technology and also some issues with my system.

I know this is going to be a long post, but I included, all that I could find about my new system specs, a TCP/IP Analyzer log, a DxDiag log, a Hijackthis log, a CPU-Z log, my security tools and maintinance and some additional info. I want those of you who can and will help to have as much info as possible so you can better help me. I hope that makes sense. There is a LOT of info so I will be posting this in two posts.

In this the first post I will list my current system specs and basic info about my last system so you can get an idea of from what prospective I am seeing these issues from one OS and system to the next and my security tools and maintinance routines and some additional info.

Then in the next few posts I will list my security tools and maintinance routines and some additional info, a TCP/IP Analyzer log, a DxDiag log, a Hijackthis log, a CPU-Z log. Plaesae don't get too mad at me for doing it this way.
    =================

Here are my current system specs:

    Base score 3.0
    Determined by
    lowest subscore

    Manufacturer Gateway
    Model W5243 ~e machines

    (BIOS : ) Phoenix - Award Workstation BIOS v6.00PG
Windows Vista (TM) Home Premium Operating
    System (6.0, Build 6001) Service Pack 1
System type 32 - bit operating system (I get the idea that my 64 bit processor's supirior qualities are useless on this OS.)

    300 watt power supply
(I Have a new 400 watt PS I could install if needed, but i figure a 500 or 600 watt would be a better fit for my system as i add hardware.)

    Motherboard
    ECS MCP61SM-GM mATX motherboard
    2000 MHz system bus

    Processor
    AMD Athlon™ 64 3800+, 64-bit processor with AMD 64 technology and HyperTransport with 512 L2 ~2400 MHz - score 4.2
Number of processor cores 1 - 64 bit capable

    Memory
1024 MB Samsung DDR2-667 MHz (PC2-5300) Dual Channel memory (two 512 MB unbuffered modules) - score 3.9
(Actually reads as 896 MB due to 128 MB being allocated to video RAM)
(I am starting to realise 1 GB (512+512) of ram is not really enough on this new system. I will be looking into 2 GB (1024+1024) as soon as I can afford the upgrades.)

    Storage
250 GB, 7200 RPM, SATA II hard drive
(Wait! DxDiag and other online scans are telling me I have this: (Drive: C: File System: NTFS Model: ST325031 0AS SCSI Disk Device. WTF? SCSI? NOT ATA?).)

    Shared system memory 190 MB
    Display adapter driver version 7.15.11.7530
    Primary monitor resolution 1024x768
(I know, I know I need to get a video card. Had a EVGA NVidia GeForce 7600 GS 256MB DDR2 8X AGP on my last computer and was going to install it in this computer, but realaised this one is PCI-E and the card is AGP. I would like to find a PCI-E x16 Nv 8800 series at a reasonable price for this system.)

    Sound
Realtek High Definition Audio Chipset ~onboard sound (This realtek sound sucks!)
Had this on my last computer (NForce2 Audio Chipset ~onboard sound) it really rocked! Guess I just need to buy an affordable Creative Sound Blaster sound card

    DirectX Version: DirectX 10

    Media drive (E : ) CD/DVD
    16X DVD +/- RW/RAM/CD-RW super multi-format dual layer drive

    Network Adapter

This system still runs awesome and always has. Just now getting to where it is laggy on the newer higher end games.
    =========================

Here is my Security Software and My Maintinance Routines:

SpywareBlaster 4.1 (Updated and All Protections Enabled manualy twice a week,)
Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.6.0.31 (Updated, Immunised and Run manualy twice a week) or when ever i notice a fair system or online slowdown.
Ad-Aware 7.1.0.10 (Updated and Run manualy twice a week,) or when ever i notice a fair system or online slowdown.
McAfee Security Center (Updated automatially daily and Run automatially once a week,) Version of McAfee includes Anti Virus, Firewall, Anti Spyware, System Guards, Windows Protection, Identity Protection, E-Mail and IM Anti Virus and Anti Spyware Protection and Content Blocking.

I also have a NAT router with i guess what is a built in hardware firewall and I am also running windows firewall. I know you are not supposed to be running more than one firewall at time, but i have taken the time to learn how to configure them all to work just fine together.

I delete my temp internet files, temp files, cookies, history and all every day if not twice a day.
I run a scan disk and let it delete the needed files for a nice cleanup at the end of every day.
I run AusLogics Disk Defrag to make my Horribly slow and inefficent (de-evolved from XP) internal defragmentor run better. I run them both once per week or any time I install or uninstall a program or file of fair size.
I also shut down my system and disconnect everything from it once a month and open the case and clean everything with anti-static electronics safe compressed air and a anti-static pen brush to remove any dust and/or buildup from flow ports and fans and pretty much everything. (An yes I not only make sure there are no oils on my skin and touch the power supply box
before i get close to anything, but i also wear anti-electro static discharge cuffs.)

I keep anything connected to my system plugged into power surge protective blocks as well.
