    100Mbit tweaking

    Hi,

TCP optimizer limits my to 20000 connection speed while I've got a 100Mbit fiber internet connection.

How can I tune it to it's max connection?

    tnx

Probably nothing that can really max your connection on normal usage.

What do you get for results at www.speedtest.net?

Any possibilities to get it better?

    Post a tcp analyzer report.

You wont get your max speed, its just too much more than places have to offer per person.

I would suggest usuing compound tcp for that connection since it's whole puporse was high latencly high bandwith pipes.

    Hmm

Personally don't take this the wrong way but i think you should be a little more grateful to what you already have!
Some people would kill just to have even an 8meg connection let alone 100meg!!!

    Go to your broadband provider!

    Jese!

That takes affect only in xp x64 and server 2003

Try to increase the default send window with this setting in the registry

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\AFD\Parameters
    make a new dword:
    DefaultSendWindow= upload / 8 (e.g. 10mbit=10000000 / 8), in decimal

    reboot and test

P.S. If u have traffic congestion, only your ISP can help u........ but never helps......... its routing issue

When I got my 20meg connection I didn't get it either until I went to---
right-click My Computer- Properties- Hardware- Devise manager- open Network adapter and right-click then right-click on properties- left-click Advance and go to Connection Type or Media Type..
Use drop-down box and click on 100base Tx Full duplex or 100 Mb full duplex whatever is in your box,,, click OK and that just might help.. It got me my full speed..

Perhaps 100 010 00 suggested the same thing in a diff way..

    Actually i didnt

I suggest him to increase the send window, this is like a pseudo ctcp tryk.
Your setting in network adapter is for 100/100mbit sdsl bandwidth. Try 100mbit half doublex

    Hi 100

    Thanks for the advice..
I didn't know which----full or half-- would be correct but with your sugg I will certainly try the half duplex..

I don't know what a "pseudo ctcp tryk" is, I know soooo little it ain't funny but I have found a few things that kinda work for me..

Thanks again for the Half duplex advice I'll do it right now..

BTW-- I have also done the best I could with the SG Optimizer too, I think I have the correct settings but am not positive..

Most of times auto negotiation works better than the others.

Also report your tcp analyser here and some of the guys will help you for the best result
