    Cable Modem Problem Webstar EPX2100

    If there is anyone out there that can help me out with that I would appreciate it.. I currently and running Windows Vista Ultimate.. I got a different Cable modem the other day and before I got it after tunning with the Optimizer I was running at 12mb down and 2 mb up.. now with this new Modem I am unable to tweak it back to that speed.. I am not only getting 7mb down and 512kb upstream.. does anyone know how to get into this modem and tweak it around a little bit so I can get back to the same speeds that I was getting before

    To do a tracert : Start > Run > type cmd > Type tracert yahoo.com > when completed > right click > Select All > Paste into the Quick Reply box in this forum

    Turn off and relocate your modem to some place else so that you get the 'Request timed out' removed from hop 2 !

    Is there a router connected to the cable modem? If so, I think you have disable its NAT routing function. Make sure you do not place the router next to the modem.

    ya I moved the Router and everything and I still get the same speeds.. so that part didnt work.. I think that the Cable Modem needs to be configured into.. anyone have a clue on how to get it to it and change the settings for it? Also the NAT for the Router did not work either..

    Did you coil the cables ? Any other coiled power cables nearby?
