Same as always, you're looking at old high mileage cars. Be ready to have work done on them just in case.

Regardless of car...if it's over 100k miles...I'd shy away. Only exception I think would be either a BMW, or a Toyota...both cars of which I'd say 100k miles is the less than the 1/2 point of their life expectancy.

Well that i don't agree with based on JD power info, last I saw Lexus would get that luxory, not BMW or Toyota.

    And who makes Lexus?

BMW also has the test of time. Guess I could toss Mercedes diesels in that mix too...but they're not my style.

Ya well Toyota was farther down on the list, and its more than just powertrains to watch out for. These days you can get hit with a bill over a grand for computer related junk or exhaust systems and such.

What kind of vehicle are you looking for? You are all over the ballpark with vehicle types. Durango, Mustang, Acura TL, Vue ... all fairly different.

But you are right, the Z06 is essentially the only American supercar, that is until the ZR1 hits! hehehe

Gixxer, buy whatever you want. I'll personally guarantee it. I'll just need one thing from you in exchange...

It does not matter the vehicle (for the most past) just as long as it is in good shape with a good price

My buddy has a twin turbo Z06 that will eat anything for lunch except a Veron or a few super cars like that, And Chevy said the cylinder walls were to thin for boost pressures
