xp half open tcp and maxconnectionsperserver

    xp sp3 max half open =256 maxconnectperserver = 10 1_0 server = 20

What is the relationship between half open connections and maxconnectionsperserver / per01 server?

    I am using the tcp/ip patch (sp3 version - http://hwrms.com/blog/?p=17).

    ????????????????????????????????????

    thx

Half-opened connections are those that are opened (either by some application in your comp and by some outside source) and waiting for a response. That's why they are called 'half-opened'.

Max. connnections per server and per 01 server are settings that only affect IE browser. Firefox and Opera browsers have their own methods to make similar settings. The settings affect how many simultaneous downloads they can make from the webpage servers.
