One of the great stories of Rock and Roll, Scot Halpin has passed.

Thomas Scot Halpin (February 3, 1954 – February 9, 2008) is noted for enjoying fifteen minutes of fame—quite literally—on November 20, 1973. The Who were opening their Quadrophenia concert tour at the Cow Palace in suburban San Francisco, and Halpin, a 19-year-old who had recently moved to the area from Muscatine, Iowa, was there with a friend using tickets they had scalped. They arrived to the show thirteen hours early so as to get good seats.[1]
