    Range extenders. which one ?

    Im currently running a Dlink dir655 router and living in such a fairly large house and my office being downstairs in front of the house thats a fair distance to cover for a decent connection. i need something to being up the signal connection, can anyone recomend me a good range extender to put half way of the house.

    im thinking of purchasing the linksys wre54g range extender. would this be compatible with the dlink dir 655.

    While we are in the topic of range extenders...what is the farthest distance you can extend your wireless range? Also can you use range extender for notebooks?

    DLink has their own range extenders....once you start mix/matching wireless brands...chances of success starts to drop.
