    Weird DNS issue

I have a PC and a laptop in one of our offices in Tampa. One of them hooks up in either cable and gets online the other doesnt get online what so ever.

They both obtain IP's , I can ping any address you can imagine including the DNS however when I go over to the nslookup command it says the folowing:

cant find name server name for address - 65.32.1.65

and its repeated again for the secondary DNS...

Is this possible how can I ping and IP address or even a domain like www.yahoo.com and still not be able to get online.

    thanks for your help

yes and no...reason for that because we took out the router and plugged right into the cable modem and vice verca...

there are 2 ppl and it only works with one laptop... the pc gives that problem...more than likely its a DNS problem but we cant figure out what the hell it can be... the laptop plugs fine into where PC is and gets online but the pc doesnt...

it pings any site imaginable including dns...but once you try and nslookup it that error comes up...

Curious if the impacted PCs have a DNS injection/winsock infection from ad/spyware. Try a TCP/Winsock repair utility.
