    Remote desktop issues

Ok, I am having trouble connecting to my fathers computer using Remote Desktop over the internet. The kicker is that he can connect to me fine. Both systems running XP Pro. Both routers are set to allow 3389 on TCP and UDP. Both system have remote users set up with passwords. all remote desktop check boxes are marked and xp's firewall has the exception on both systems. what the hell am i missing? Pinging his system works fine, tho i know that doesn't say much. thanks for any help

yes that is what i am doing. I've done this many times before, just not in a long time. I can't think of any other reason he can connect to me but not me to him
