How many do you have? What do you do with them. 1 is enough for me.

I have a 2GB but I wish I would have bought a 4GB. That would be my limit.

    Let's see

Three 16 MB memorex drives, they are old USB 1.1 type, they look like Old 9 Track Data Tapes. Cool but small capacity. Good for text files.

One 32 MB Lexar Jump drive, also old USB 1.1

One Super talent 512 MB USB 2.0 drive.

One Memorex 1 GB USB 2.0 drive that does U3 apps, I low level formatted that.

One Sandisk 1GB Cruser USB 2.0 with the retractable end. This also has those U3 apps, which I am keeping on this one.
Then my new one from Walmart Impact 2 GB 2.0 USB drive, which is actually labeled as "LEXAR" for the drive name.

Almost all of these I have encrypted them to keep some back up baby / family pics and small avi files, and some documents that I keep for redunency, in case something happens to my backup hard drive and the dvd back ups that I make.
I use this for encryption: http://www.truecrypt.org/ its for Windows XP, Vista and Linux... pretty good.
On one of the drives that I do not have encrypted, I use the free apps from http://www.portableapps.com Really nice free apps there.... even nice tech apps.

Got a 4gb Sandisk, and that's plenty enough. Picked it up on sale from Best Buy for $25

    I've got 4 now, just bought a 4G, 2G, and a 1G Kingston Data Traveler with a $50 Future Shop Gift Card.
The 2G is bootable with NTFS Dos Pro, a copy of my XP Pro CD and all my drivers for my PC. At some point I plan on trying to install XP from this drive.
The 4G has IE7, MP11, Plus XP, Plus DME, Resource Kit, Dot Net and other assorted updates and extras for windows XP. For some reason I can't seem to make this drive bootable or I would install from it instead of the 2G.
The 1G has programs I use on it like anti-virus.
My old 2G has games on it.

I never thought of that.. putting all my hardware drivers on on stick..
    Great idea

Plugging in 1 thumbdrive sure beats swapping out a dozen or so Cd's after a clean install.
