    Question CPU Gel ?

OK, this may sound really dumb, and I assure you, I'm not a newbie, but I've seen some ads for CPUs (specifically PIII 800 Socket 370), and they say "comes with gel". Now I know some people apply this stuff before putting on the heatsink and fan, and what I'm asking is: Does Anyone out there recommend using it or no? So far I've always used slot 1's so this is a little new to me.
    Thanx in Advance!!

I assume you are referring to thermal compound. Use it, it can result in great temp. decreases

Yeah i recommend using it because it helps the heat transfer between the CPU and the Heatsink No matter How flat the Heatsink it There are still many gaps where heat stays there. The Thermal Compound depends what you get can lower it atleast 1-2 Degress Celcius.

I dont agree on the artic silver note. It may sometimes bring down temp, however, you cant use as much of it because of its electrical conductivity. Many people say that you should use a very small amount, but the people of the OCZ store suggest that using more, as long as its not conductive, can bring temps down. Also, I have tryed artic silver, and it didn't even bring my temp down a degree. Though some may have different experiences.
