IE Uploads Sluggish Other Browsers Fine

This one is weird, has anyone noticed this? IE upload starts off fine then dwindles off considerable, about 50%. Malware/Spyware scans show no anomolies. Using IE7 now but I first noticed this using IE 6. I am using Windows XP SP2 and IE7 (previously present in IE6). Preferred browser is IE.

    Here are some speed samples:

    IE-

    Firefox-

    Welcome to Speedguide.

Imho, your preferred browser sucks. Use Firefox, it's faster and more secure.

What "Malware/Spyware" scans did you perform?

Around here, a majority recommends the following freeware (better than a lot of the commercial crap on the market):

    Spywareblaster

    Spybot Search & Destroy

    HiJack This

If you do a HijackThis scan and post the log- I'll look it over.

Thanks, I know...a lot of people hate IE. I like it because I can easily save bookmarks, organize them, and back them up including cookies.

I have done all the above scans you quoted including F-Secure (my anti-virus), AVG, Superspyware, Kaspersky, SDFIX, Panada, and Cureit.

    Here is the hijack log:

This does contain spyware and it attempts to contact Star Downloader's site after installation. Don't believe me? Download SpywareGuard (like an anti-virus program but scans for spyware instead: AWESOME FREEWARE!!! Google it now!!!) If you really want to try this proggy, install SpywareGuard first and watch it intercept the spyware, the changes it attempt to make to Internet Explorer AND the registy key it attempts to write... Grrrrrr!!!! ...

Everything about it if it installs spyware...you want to spend money? Get Mass Downloader and if you use Firefox use the Flashgot extension to integrate it into your brower. You only need the Metaproducts Firefox extension if you're using their other products such as Offline Explorer or Inquiry.
    I'd uninstall Star Downloader

Have you cleaned out your temp files? Try CCleaner.
    Any 3rd party toolbars?
Superantispyware is a great cleaner, but I've found its real time protection slows down browsing a bit..try disabling it for a bit.

Thanks everyone. I took everyone's advice and unfortunately, there has been no change in the upload speed. I use CCleaner all the time and Superspyware is the stand-alone version, no real time protection.

I do suspect something here and there may be corrupt with my XP system (yes I have used the system file checker) and that hasn't helped. For example, I can't render an AVI or MPEG file to DVD completely. It always crashes near the end irregardless of what AVI file I use or whatever software program eg. Ulead, Adobe Premiere, Pinnacle, etc.

I know the only real solution is to do a fresh reinstall but with all the programs I have that would be a real PIA.
